The New Collaboration....

Getting to the Root Events is a collaboration of events put together by Eric McClam (City Roots Farm Manager and Co- Founder) and Vanessa Driscoll (The Southern Greenie and Whole Foods Market, Marketing Team Leader) over the past two years featuring local chefs, musicians, farmers and artisans. They have now brought all the events under one roof! The Harvest Dinners, Nose to Tail Dinners, Music on the farm and more will all now be featured under one name on facebook. You will be able to access events here as well as City Roots web page.

Event Descriptions 

Farm to Table with Kristian Niemi and Travis Rayle 

Enjoy a unique dining experience at City Roots Farm. Executive Chef/Owner Kristian Niemi and Executive Chef Travis Rayle from Rosso Trattoria will be preparing meals with fresh produce harvested that day from City Roots Farm. We will be partnering with other farms for local beef, pork, chicken and fish. Every dinner will be a surprise, the menu will not be known until the day or week of.

Dinners start with a cocktail made with American Harvest Organic Spirits mixed with fresh seasonal juices and fruit. You will be able to enjoy a cocktail while exploring the farm. Then everyone will proceed to the table in the field for a sit down family style dinner paired with sustainable beer or wine.

Your local Chef and Farmer will be on hand to dine with you and talk about the harvest menu and the farm.  It will be a unique sustainable dinning experience.
